Terms of use
Plain-language disclaimers covering this free, public tool.
The service
pgconfigurator (the “Service”) is a free, browser-based PostgreSQL configuration generator and execution plan analyzer published by CYBERTEC PostgreSQL International GmbH (the “Operator”).
No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The configuration values generated and the findings produced are best-effort heuristics based on public PostgreSQL practice and our experience. They are not professional advice for your specific environment.
No liability for production use
You are solely responsible for testing any recommendation in a non-production environment before applying it. The Operator accepts no liability for data loss, performance regressions, downtime, or any consequential damages arising from acting on output produced by the Service. If you need certainty for production, please engage us through the contact form — that's what the consultancy is for.
Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to attempt to disrupt its operation (e.g., denial-of-service, automated scraping that ignores rate limits). Do not upload data you are not entitled to share. Don't pretend our output is your own original advice when reselling consulting.
Intellectual property
The Service code is published under an open-source licence (see the repository). The generated configurations and plan analyses themselves are yours to use freely. The PostgreSQL elephant trademark and the CYBERTEC brand remain with their respective owners.
Changes
We may update these terms occasionally; the current version is always the canonical one. Material changes are flagged on the next visit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Austrian law. Exclusive place of jurisdiction for disputes is the competent court for Wiener Neustadt, Austria, to the extent permissible by consumer protection law.
